Weighted Grading Setup Across the Grades

When St. Matthew's started using PowerSchool in 2005, we took that opportunity to examine our grading practices across the grades and were surprised to find that we were all over the board in terms of expectations, weighting, etc. We then put together the attached form (2017-18_PowerSchoolSetup) to better regulate our grading practices. This was the 4th rendition of the form, as we continued to tweak it with input from from our students. The other form (SMLS_Sections) maps out our dependent sections to make it easy to keep track of. These are shared to encourage your schools to document your grading practices so as to be better prepared for grading questions from parents as well as to assist in the once-a-year begin-a-new-school-year process.
